Senior System Engineer

Job Description: Senior System Engineer for web-based development projects in a customer environment. Responsibilities include providing a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware and software components for a project, and knowledge of computer systems and gathering/identifying requirements. Candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing system requirements and system security documents and coordinating their approval through the appropriate boards. Scope of work will include representing customers in multi-organization meetings, briefing customers and partners on project status and direction, and ensuring follow-through on action items.

Location: Northern Virginia

Skill Requirements:

At least 5 years of system engineering experience
Knowledgeable in life-cycle support, including maintenance, administration, and management
Experience with information systems security
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform in a customer environment

Education: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or another related discipline preferred. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Clearance: Successful applicants must be US Citizens eligible for, and able to obtain, the appropriate personnel security clearance required for this position. Candidate must possess a current SSBI. A polygraph interview is required as part of the government security processing.
