Oracle System Administrator
Job Description: Oracle System Administrator to support Oracle RAC database servers in a Solaris environment. Responsibilities include: administration of Oracle 11g RAC database servers; setting up database instances; monitoring and improving system performance; patching of servers; hardening of servers; and supporting certification and accreditation testing.
Location: Northern Virginia
Skill Requirements:
- At least 5 years of database server administration, Oracle experience required
- Experience with Oracle 11g
- Experience with Oracle RAC preferred
- Experience with Solaris
- Experience with SAN storage preferred
- Oracle Certifications preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform in a customer environment
Education: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or another related discipline preferred. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Clearance: Successful applicants must be US Citizens eligible for, and able to obtain, the appropriate personnel security clearance required for this position. Candidate must possess a current SSBI. A polygraph interview is required as part of the government security processing.
