Oracle Database Developer

Job Description: Oracle Database Developer to support Java or Ruby on Rails (RoR) web-based application development efforts in a customer environment. Responsibilities include: translating user requirements into database structures or in handling database structures of COTS; developing triggers and other database related processes; and troubleshooting and resolving development and operational database problems. Effort will include designing and implementing an Oracle 11g database.

Location: Northern Virginia

Skill Requirements:

At least 5 years of database development and administration, Oracle experience required
Experienced with PL/SQL
Experience with Java or Ruby on Rails (RoR)
Database modeling experience
Oracle Certifications preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform in a customer environment

Education: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or another related discipline preferred. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Clearance: Successful applicants must be US Citizens eligible for, and able to obtain, the appropriate personnel security clearance required for this position. Candidate must possess a current SSBI. A polygraph interview is required as part of the government security processing.
