Java Developer
Job Description: Java Developer responsible for building web-based Java/JEE application in a customer environment. Position has the opportunity to expand into JRuby and/or Ruby on Rails (ROR). Other technologies used include Oracle, workflow, Microsoft Office, user interface, agile programming concepts and techniques and usability engineering methods.
Location: Northern Virginia
Skill Requirements:
- At least 3 years software development experience
- At least 1 year JEE experience with an application server (i.e. BEA Weblogic, Oracle Application Server) preferred
- Experience with CVS or other source code control environment preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform in a customer environment
Education: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or another related discipline preferred. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Clearance: Successful applicants must be US Citizens eligible for, and able to obtain, the appropriate personnel security clearance required for this position. Candidate must possess a current SSBI. A polygraph interview is required as part of the government security processing.
