Miklos Systems, Inc., an Employee-Owned company, provides the following benefits to all our full-time employees:

Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)

All MSI employees are eligible to participate in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This allows everyone to share in any growth in the value of our company, to gain a beneficial interest in the stock of our company, and to accumulate funds for retirement.

 

The ESOP creates a direct link between company interests and employee interests. To support our employee owners, MSI practices “open books management”. This practice informs and educates our employees about the company’s financial status, the impact of their performance, and our future plans. Our consensus-seeking culture encourages open discussions of questions and issues facing our employees and their company.

401(k) Retirement

MSI offers a 401(k) plan, which allows employees contribute pre-tax funds, up to the IRS statutory limits. Employees may choose any number of over 70 mutual fund options in which to invest. The company provides an annual match as a percentage of the employee’s contribution.

Health Benefits

Health Benefits include Medical, Dental and Vision insurance.

 

Medical Plan
MSI offers three medical plans including an HMO plan, a Point of Service plan, and an HMO plan which includes a Health Savings Account (HSA).

 

Dental & Vision Plans
MSI provides comprehensive dental and vision care plans. Both plans allow employees the choice of using any service providers inside or outside their network.

Disability, Life & Supplemental Insurances

MSI provides life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, and short- and long-term disability coverage. MSI pays the full cost of employee coverage for this plan.

 

MSI offers additional insurance options that are at the employee’s cost, which include Voluntary Life Insurance through Principal and a range of supplemental insurance options with Aflac.

Flexible Spending Accounts

MSI provides Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), which allow participants to set aside pre-tax money for medical, dependent care, transportation, and parking expenses.

Leave & Holidays

MSI provides five weeks of vacation and sick leave annually. With each year at MSI, employees accrue vacation at a higher rate. The company provides additional leave for bereavement, jury duty, National Guard, or Reserve duty.

 

In addition to sick leave and vacation, full-time employees receive ten holidays each year. MSI’s holiday schedule includes six “fixed” holidays and four “floating” holidays, which can be taken at any time during the year.

Training Budget

To support on-going education, MSI provides an annual training budget to each eligible employee. Funds may be used for education purposes such as tuition reimbursement or professional development. Since each person knows best which skills are necessary for his or her current or next position, the employee guides the use of these training funds. MSI also reimburses the cost of memberships in professional associations and subscriptions to technical journals.

Bonus Plans

An employee retention bonus is paid every three years to each regular full- or part-time employee who is eligible for benefits. Several other bonus plans are currently being offered as incentives to employees and include: Target Hours Bonus, Recruiting and Referral Bonus, New Business Bonus, Technical Excellence Bonus, and a Customer Service Bonus.

Internet Connectivity

MSI believes that the internet is both a productive tool for work and sharing, and an educational and communications tool. As such, MSI provides a monthly broadband connectivity allowance for every employee.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

MSI provides employees with access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), which provides confidential support, 24 hours a day at no cost to the employee. In addition, MSI offers a Health Advocate service, which provides employees with one-on-one clinical and administrative health-related needs and concerns.

 

MSI values a sense of community and provides various team-building activities. In the past, these have included lunches with the CEO, an annual holiday party, bowling, putt-putt golf, and company picnics.
